Happy Fall everyone! Just wanted to give an update on school and talk about fall TV.

I have been in school now for 5 weeks! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. The prgram is very challenging, but I love it! I have made many new friends and I am getting excellent grades! I was just voted the Class Secretary amd I am happy to take on this leadership role. I am super busy because I study all the time. But I would not have it any other way. I know Physical Therapy is the right career for me =)

My brother is working on a new show called Valentine on the CW. It starts Sunday, October 5th at 8pm.The show is about Greek gods of myth and fable that live among us . They dress up as different characters and help people find their soulmates. Go to this site to find out more: http://cwtv.com/shows/valentine

This week I have also been busy with all the new fall shows that are starting back up. My must sees are Dancing with the Stars, The Office, My Name is Earl, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Desperate...

This past weekend we went to Empire, Michigan for my cousin’s wedding. I was a bridesmaid and we share a special bond because we were both born on our grandmother’s birthday. The morning we left we were supposed to get a ride with Bob’s brother. He informed us that his girlfriend was no where to be found. So, we had to drive ourselves to the airport and pay the ridiculous parking fee. My Mom came with us since my Dad was flying in from a conference. She had surgery on both feet this summer, so we got a wheelchair for her. This helped us get around the airport quickly, but it was a little extra work. In order to get to Empire, we had to switch planes and arrive in Traverse City, about 25 miles from Empire. My Dad met us at the Traverse City airport and we drove to Empire together. The city has one street light, but it is a beautiful place. There are farms and rolling hills, and it is right on Lake Michigan. We stayed in a 100 year old house and the weather was so nice that we had all the windows open. We had the...

I can't believe it is already August! Here is what I have been up to in the past few weeks:

* On July 11-14 we went on a 3 day Royal Caribbean cruise with my brother in law and his girlfriend, and our friends Sam & Ron, James, and Silas. We went to Nassau and Coco Cay- their private island. The trip was a nice little getaway. The only bad part was the overcast weather due to Hurricane Bertha. In Nassau we went to a Superclub called Breezes. It was all you could eat and drink. They had several pools, including one with a swim up bar and their own private beach. In Coco Cay we lounged on the beach and on our floats in the ocean. We enjoyed the signature drink, the Coco Loco. They walk around the island saying, "Coco Loco for ya." They even had a guy on a golf cart with palm fronds and a trailer behind it of beer and water. He had a towel on his head wrapped like Princess Leia and he said "Beer, Beer, water, water, cold beer, cold water!" At the end of the day it started pouring. We had to take a small boat...

I just found out today that I got into the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Seminole Community College! This is a 2 year program that starts August 25- I am so excited! I did not really tell many people I applied. I just wanted to see what happened.  It has been a long road leading up to this, and I am so happy that I have a career path now. Wish me luck on this new chapter in my life!

Bob purchased Rock Band several weeks ago, but I was not really into it. Every time I tried to play the guitar I failed. Then, I started playing the drums and did alright. I also tried the singing and did very well. Recently, I have just clicked with the drums. I have been getting 99%. Woohoo! We have had some Rock Band parties with friends, and I can't wait to have another to show everyone what a bad ass drummer I have become!

TJ turned one last Sunday! He is now on adult food and he eats adult sized treats. He weighs in at 75 pounds. For his birthday I took him to the Dog Park and then he got to play in his little pool. Then, Bob took him to a neighborhood block party, which he said was pretty lame. Then, we went to Petsmart, so he could get a new treat and he got ice cream for dessert. A pretty good day for a dog!

Saturday we went to Bob's aunt and uncles house to celebrate his Dad's birthday and our anniversary. She did not get to celebrate with us last weekend, so she had us over for dinner. She had made us an adorable, mini 3 tiered anniversary cake. So cute and tasty!

On Sunday we went to Dubsdread, the place we got married, for brunch. My parents wanted to take us there for our anniversary and we also got to celebrate Mother's Day. We got my Mom some pretty pink roses and that made her feel very special. The brunch was very yummy. I guess I had never been to a brunch because I did not realize they would have a whole lunch area set up. In the breakfast area they had an omelet station, the lunch area had carving stations and a pasta station (similar to our wedding) and the dessert area had tiers of mini cupcakes(some with jelly inside). After brunch we went to my parents to swim. It has been in the 90's here, so we sure enjoyed the pool. After that Bob made lasagna and we watched Indiana Jones and the Raiders...

Has anyone else tried Wild Blue? I first tried it at SeaWorld's Brewmaster Club. It is a Blueberry Lager- so good! I recently found it at the store and it is my new favorite. I love the sweetness. Try it out!

Bob and I have been married for one year! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Marriage has been an adjustment, but I think I am getting used to it. Last Saturday we went to celebrate at Dubsdread, the place we got married. We went for dinner and we both ordered pasta dishes. We were excited because our dishes came with salad and rolls. The waiter brought our pasta, so Bob asked him to also bring the rolls. Then, I asked him about the salads and he said ours did not come with salad. He then hovered over our table explaining how the menu had changed. Bob and I both thought it was weird that we both saw it came with a salad, but continued eating. Then, the waiter asked if we wanted dessert and we asked for the menu, since the desserts were on the back of the main menu. He said we actually don't have a dessert menu and listed 3 desserts. Bob asked about a brownie dessert he saw and the waiter said oh yes, we do have that. We decided on chocolate cake since it did not have nuts. Then, I went to the front...

On Saturday Bob and I went to Passover Sedar at his cousin Tiffany's house. Bob spent all afternoon cooking up recipes to bring over. It sure is hard to make yummy recipes when you can't use leavening products. I had been to one Sedar before so I was a little bit familiar with it. There were 13 people there with Bob's family and Tiffany's husband's family. The Sedar consists of readings and blessings; Tiffany said some of them in Hebrew. On the table they have a Sedar plate and they describe what each food on the plate symbolizes. It is a really long dinner, but we did the shortened version. We drank Manischewitz wine which is so potent. During the formal part, we had matza with horseradish (clears the sinuses), a potato dipped in salt water (symbolizing bitter tears), and charoset (apples and nuts). Bob served us the food he made. That included meatballs, Gefilte fish (which was not so bad), and cheese kugel (matza with cottage cheese, cinnamon and honey). Then, we had matza ball soup, chicken, veggies, potatoes,...
